Church of Notre Dame- The infamous home of Quasimodo, this gothic church is unlike anything you’ll ever see. Sculptures and stained glass windows show influences of naturalism and was one of the very first gothic cathedrals. Construction began in the 12th century, but was not until 300 years later that construction was completed. A must see in Paris.

Palace of Versailles- The home of Marie Antoinette and several French Kings during the French Revolution, Versailles is a must hit spot during your Paris trip. The Gardens and Park of the Chateau’s is unlike anything you will ever see and an absolute must if you want to get the best Instagram picture.

Musee d’Orsay- An absolute must for al art lovers. They have all types of art including architecture, models, paintings, sketches, and statues. If anything, go to the Impressionism floor and see beautiful works by Monet, Van Gogh and more.

Centre Pompidou- The museum of modern art is a great museum for people who love the modern word and futuristic architecture. Not only are the exhibits one of a kind, but the building itself will make you feel like you traveled a few years into the future.

Le Bouillon Chartier- Traditional French food; go for the escargot, foie gras, a whole fish, French onion soup, and amazing classic French wine; Address is 7 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009 Paris; they are only open until 10pm so don’t go too late.

La Creperie des Champs Elysses- You can’t go to Paris and not get a crepe. The street crepes are great, but if you really want to go all out, go here and watch the magic of crepe making in front of your eyes, located on 5, Rue Washington75008 Paris, France. *highly recommend getting the banana nutella, you won’t be sorry*

“r.”- Expensive but so cool and great view of the Eiffel Tower. If you don’t go for dinner, at least go for a drink at the bar; kind of hard to find but so cool so ask around.

Angelina’s- Go for tea and hot chocolate in the afternoon – near the Lourve, so cute and great baked goods.

Lauduree- A trip to Paris is not complete without the best macaroons. Enough said.

The Old Smoke- London

Some people call it “The Old Smoke,” others know it as the “America of Europe”, either way, the city of London is in one word: magical. London is full of history, everything from The Royal Family and historical churches, to numerous Olympic events. London can be an overwhelming location for a first time visitor, which is why we created the perfect guide to make sure you enjoy everything that the city has to offer. From the food to the sites, here’s our list of highlights that cannot be missed.

Buckingham Palace: The place where Queen Elizabeth takes her slumbers, but also the place where you can go see the Changing of the Guards. The ceremony takes place daily during the months of April to July. During the ceremony, one regiment takes over from another and lasts about 45 minutes. At the palace, you can also tour the state rooms during September and October.

Hyde Park: One of London’s finest landscapes, covering over 350 acres. In the 1800’s Hyde Park became a venue for national celebrations, and is a beautiful place to rent lawn chairs and relax on a beautiful day in London.

Tower of London: An old prison/dungeon/torture chamber, but looks basically like all the other buildings. The Tower of London is the official place for Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress and home to the Crown Jewels. It is located on the bank of the Thames River in central London. The Crown Jewels of London are an assembly of 142 historical ceremonial objects, including the regalia and vestments of kings and queens worn during their coronations.

London Bridge: The bridge, located between central London and Southwark, on the River Thames. The newly reconstructed bridge was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on March 17, 1973. The bridge was also home to the Olympic rings during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

Tate Modern Museum: This museum is perfect for those who love modern art (did we mention it’s free?) Not a London essential if you’re in a time crunch, but well worth it. The exhibitions include, Conceptual Art in Britain 1964-1979; Painting with Light Art and Photography from the Pre-Raphalites to the Modern Age; and the Pablo Brostein: Historical Dances in an Antique Setting.

Kensington Palace: Who doesn’t aspire to have a life like the Royal Family? Kensington Palace is the home of Will and Kate. Not only can you get a tour of the palace, but you can see Princess Diana’s dress collection, an exploration of Queen Victoria’s life, the Queen’s state apartments, and the Palace Gardens. Sold.

London Parliament: Not only is the Parliament building one of the most beautiful constructions in central London, but it also examines what the London government is doing. The House of Commons and House of Lords both play important roles in Parliament’s work.

Camden Market: Camden is the hipster part of London. Home to multiple flea markets, shops, and great food.  Camden is a must see for anyone who is looking to find an “out of the box” venture while in London.

Big Ben: Big Ben is one of London’s most iconic and must-see attractions. Big Ben first rang across Westminster on May 31,1859. Go see Big Ben after touring through Parliament. *Little Known Fact- Big Ben is not the name of the clock tower, but the name of the bell that rings inside*

Westminister Abbey: Home to more than a thousand years of history, Westminster Abbey has been the coronation church since 1066 and is the final resting place of 17 monarchs. A house of treasured paintings, stained glass, pavements, textiles, and other artifacts.

The London Eye: Great ferris wheel that allows you to see all of London, definitely worth it.

Abbey Road: If you love The Beatles, then Abbey Road is a must hit spot. Located right across the street from Apple Records Studio, cross the infamous road and take your picture (as long as a car doesn’t honk at you first)!

Let’s Dine:

Social Eating House: Located in SOHO, this restaurant will bring you good vibes, great shareable dishes, and killer cocktails.

Dinings: The trendiest food your tastebuds will ever try.

Well Dressed: Good lunch place to make your own salad creations.

Yo Sushi: Go here for delicious and affordable conveyer belt sushi.

Night Life: A quick guide to some of our favorite night life: Pharmacy, Caffe de Paris, O Bar, Attica and Zoobar.

Covent garden: Great boutique shopping Great vintage stores.

Portobello Market: Cool and hip shopping finds.

London is an amazing place with a ton of versatility and culture, so it really has something for everyone. Head over to to see all the items you could rent for a holiday in the UK.

Montauk Hot Spots

Montauk, the most eastern spot of the Hampton’s, is about a 3 hour drive from the city (sans traffic) and is one of our favorite escapes during these hot summer months in NYC.

We love the vibe of this cute little town, with all the quaint restaurants, the sandy beach, and the laid back feel.  We’ve rounded up the best places to go for your next Montauk stay:

Places to Be Seen:

Gurney’s hosts some of the best day parties in the entire east end. People travel from Southampton and Easthampton to spend the day at this beach front resort. Expect to see top DJ’s such as Hannah Bronfman and Miike Snow on big weekends.

We like to think of this place as a summer camp for adults, as it’s set up like you’re at a camping lodge, yet hosts live music and DJ’s.

The Surf Lodge

Expect long lines at this Montauk hot-spot, even though the recent local laws have prevented this place from having live music. It’s always a fun time at the Surf Lodge.

Places to Eat:

This Manhattan staple found its place at Gurneys and is a must-try if you’re staying in Montauk. We like to describe the ambiance as “country chic” and the modern italian food lives up to the expectation. Must try: the Tuna Susci.

Navy Beach

We’re all about the outdoor seating and the french riviera vibe here. We love to come here for drinks and dinner.  Located right on the beach and has some of the best bites in Montauk!

We love this Mediterranean spot, with a casual yet chic vibe. They have something for everyone here, including amazing burrata, tuna tartare, fish, burgers, the list goes on.

Places to Sweat:

Soul Cycle Montauk

This location was by far one of the nicest Soul studios we have ever been to.  Everyone from the front desk staff to the instructors are extra friendly and energetic. The classes fill up quick, so reserve your spot in advance.

New York Pilates @ Gurneys

We love this serene little spot nestled away in Gurney’s, which they’re stationed at all summer! You can sign up through ClassPass too!

Barry’s Bootcamp Amagansett

Okay, so this spot isn’t exactly in Montauk but it’s approximately a 15 min drive. We love Barry’s and especially the Hampton’s version because it’s only 50 minutes (especially after those rose hangovers).

We recommend checking these spots out on your next trip to Montauk. Let us know in the comments if you have any other favorites!

5 Tips to Pack Intelligently

Getting excited over vacation is easy but for the majority of fashionistas, packing brings bouts of anxiety. What to wear, how to wear it and the worst how to pack it into just one suitcase are all questions that we fret over! At Style Lend we want to let you know that you’re not alone. We formed a #StyleLendTravel support group to discover new tricks when it comes to packing. We know it won’t take the edge off completely but we’re hoping this guide will help melt the pre-travel stress away.

1. Pack three tops for every bottom!

Follow this simple formula and get more outfits out of your suitcase. Generally, pants and skirts take up more room than shirts and you’ll able to wear them multiple times. Always pack a staple bottom like denim shorts so it’s easy for matching.

2. Skip the towel!

We get it, the Chanel beach towel you own is a piece of art and while we’re all for showing it off, it isn’t practical. The reality is that a towel takes up a ton of room and most resorts are happy to provide towels. Leave it at home. Same with hair dryers, shampoo + conditioner, and body wash. If you can’t live without the latter, buy some travel size containers and pack it in.
Choose colors that coordinate. I know, I know it’s hard to limit yourself to just one color scheme but if you’re tight on space, picking pieces that coordinate with each other is a safe bet and makes selecting outfits so much easier.

FullSizeRender (1)

4. Pick your shoes wisely.

If you’re tight on space, choose shoes in neutral colors. You can never go wrong with a pair of nude heels, they go with everything and they actually make you look taller. Wear the shoes that take up the most room on the plane and off the plane to save space in the bag.

5. No need to bring a curling iron too!

You can easily create curls with a straightener. Youtube videos such as this one will show you all the tricks of the trade. You can also save space by minimizing the amount of makeup you bring. Lipstick can double as crème blush, and brown eye shadow easily works as eyeliner. A great bb crème eliminates the need for primer and foundation. You can easily contour and highlight with white eye shadow and bronzer.
